Over the past 20 years, I've worked with grassroots organizations, cultural institutions, and global companies to strengthen the cultural ecosystems that sustain belonging.
I'm drawn to questions about how culture, memory, and power have shaped the built environment and the institutions we've inherited—and how those same forces can be mobilized to transform them toward greater equity. This curiosity has led to roles ranging from leading IDEO’s first global DE&I strategy to building storytelling platforms with public housing residents as a Create Change Artist-in-Residence with The Laundromat Project.
Today, I work independently with institutions, artists, and communities on design, curatorial, and cultural strategy projects rooted in memory, spatial justice, and systems change.
My training in social work informs everything I do. I’m attuned to the interconnected personal and systemic dimensions of change, and create containers that enable communities to build the capacity to sustain it over time.
My work grows from the freedom dreams that animated places like Allensworth, California, a historic Black agrarian community and freedom colony founded by my ancestors in 1908.
